refash at julietas nov 2010

refash at julietas nov 2010
sistas attending...judita, bellita, sassita, joita, julieta, Lazzita
We enjoyed using julietas new studio room..it was a fun and silly refash..with lots of rude remarks and giggling.  3 sistas decided to act out someone riding a horse..sista #1 as horse, sista #2 as saddle thrown over horse and sista #3 riding horse on saddle....can't remember why that happened and sadly we cannot show the vieo clip.
.
Joita worked quietly on her Japenese girl cards..sorry about the photo to see them correctly you will need to stand on your head..

sass tried to learn to crochet..from a sista who was not really sure what she was doing..but did in fact teach her anyway. Not sure what sass made there but at least they are in her colors
..bella continued her latest knitting piece inspired by the knitters at the craft fair..no pics unfortunately but stay tuned they will come as it grows..

here's a picture of julietas mad crochet piece..what will it become??

Lazzita created a softie for a friends babe which is extremely cute (the softie that is...the babe is not here yet I don't think but I'm sure it will be cute too)
and jude..hmmm..apart from being the horse rider??? ah yes, there was also a bit of refashing going on, an old blanket I think. We can't show her face but we will show her legs. Fine aren't they??

till next time...

heres a few pics..and a brief overview..
Laz put together our birthday necklace which will be passed around as a birthday gift from sista to sista
robita completed her piece for the birthday necklace..we thought she was preparing some sort of illegal substance but she was cutting up wool or something crafty..

kezita was crochetting a cover for a stone..but getting rather frustrated I think ...did she end up unpicking that one??hmmm no she was going to but sassita saved it and will refash in into something new

sassita worked on some buddhist quote cards.....

and Pete snuck in at the end..couldn't help himself

sewjourn photos...well..well...well

sewjourn the departure...finally

well..this has taken a long long time as I've been trying to get photos up and it just hasn't been working...so I gave up altogether for awhile.

But I thought I should finish the story ....photos or none.

So the final day was just as special as the others even though it was clouded by the knowledge that we were to return home. We finished off our projects and then held a very sacred ritual for our dear sista Laz and the doll we had made for her. Each of the sistas gathered a piece of the earth to place around the doll and we shared a few thoughts and messages. It was incredible, l think we were all touched by the power of it. (and there were no bare breasts, although the idea was tossed around..next time perhaps??) Speaking of next time, as we were all coming to terms with the finale we decided to make our retreat an annual event and organised to book Sewjourn again next year...so till then
